Troon, in an effort to show its appreciation to the millions of active duty U.S. military personnel and seriously injured combat veterans, has launched a new program that allows them an easy and affordable way to play golf. 
The program dubbed “Troon’s Troops” is a year-round program at over 50 golf courses including Troon North. The discount is for half off of the standard golf fees. Reservations must be made two days in advance by getting in direct touch with the Troon Golf course that participates in the program.
Active duty military personnel will need to present a valid military ID upon their check-in. Disabled veterans must show either a valid disability ID or a United States Department of Veteran’s Affair’s letter.
Other benefits of the Troon’s Troops include: 50 percent off standard price of premium Callaway rental clubs, 10 percent off at participating golf course restaurants and 10 percent off of merchandise at the participating golf shops.
Executive Vice Presidents of Troon’s Operations John Easterbrook said the program is one way the company can give something back to the courageous men and women who sacrificed so much to serve the nation. It’s just a way of saying “thank you”, he said.
